This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use himparadise.in or book a trip with us, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a small owner-run company, and we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.
Who we are

What we collect
When you book: the names of all guests, contact phone number, email address, travel dates, group size, and any special requirements you tell us about, such as dietary needs or medical conditions relevant to high-altitude travel.
Identification: guest identification details required by Himachal Pradesh hotel rules, collected at check-in rather than at booking.
Payment: we do not collect or store your card number, UPI ID, CVV or net banking credentials. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay. We receive only a transaction reference, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.
When you browse: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and time spent, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
When you message us: the contents of your WhatsApp, email or phone enquiry, so that we can answer it and keep a record of what was agreed.
Why we use it
To confirm and operate your booking, including passing your name and dates to the hotel, driver and bus operator. To send you booking confirmations, trip details and pre-travel information. To take payment and issue invoices. To meet legal and tax obligations, including GST records. To answer your questions and resolve complaints. To improve our website and understand which of our packages people are interested in.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying to say so.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the people who make your trip happen: the hotel you are staying in, your assigned driver, and the Volvo bus operator. Typically this is names, dates and contact number.
We also share information with Razorpay to process payments, and with our accountants for tax compliance.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose information where required by law, by a court, or by a government authority.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to measure how people find and use the site, which helps us spend our advertising budget sensibly.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the booking process may not work correctly if you do.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for eight years, as required for tax and GST purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for two years. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the tools we use.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, or ask us to stop sending you marketing.

Some information we cannot delete on request, because we are legally required to retain booking and payment records.
Children
Our website is not intended for use by children. Where a child travels with us, their details are provided by a parent or guardian and are used only to operate the trip.
Security
Our website uses SSL encryption. Access to booking records is limited to the people who need it to do their job. We use reputable third parties for payments and hosting. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if anything goes wrong that affects you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
